BEIJING -- Thirteen people were elected vice-chairpersons of the Standing Committee of the 12th National People's Congress, the top legislature, on Thursday.

Li Jianguo is elected vice-chairperson of the 12th National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee at the fourth plenary meeting of the first session of the 12th NPC in Beijing, capital of China, March 14, 2013. (Xinhua)
Li Jianguo, born in April 1946, is a member of the Political Bureau of the 18th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), and member of the 15th, 16th, 17th and 18th CPC Central Committees. He is also chairman of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions.
Wang Shengjun is elected vice-chairperson of the 12th National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee at the fourth plenary meeting of the first session of the 12th NPC in Beijing, capital of China, March 14, 2013. (Xinhua)
Wang Shengjun, born in October 1946, is a member of the 18th CPC Central Committee. He has served as president of the Supreme People's Court since 2008.
Chen Changzhi is elected vice-chairperson of the 12th National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee at the fourth plenary meeting of the first session of the 12th NPC in Beijing, capital of China, March 14, 2013. (Xinhua)
Chen Changzhi, born in July 1945, is chairman of the Central Committee of the China Democratic National Construction Association.
