BERLIN, Dec. 15 (Xinhua) -- German Chancellor Angela Merkel expressed her nervousness about the current situation of Copenhagen meeting on Tuesday when she met visiting Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.

"I can not conceal the fact that I've become somewhat nervous about whether we'll be able to make it," Merkel told a news conference with Indonesia President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.

Merkel urged developed and developing nations to make "constructive contributions" to make Copenhagen a success. "We all know time is running out and we need to get serious." she said.

Yudhoyono also urged developing countries to raise their pledges at Copenhagen to jointly achieve the international targets.

Yudhoyono who hosted the UN-led talks in Bali two years ago and helped break a late deadlock there, will be acting as an informal co-chair in Copenhagen this time.

Merkel, who says Germany will commit to reduce greenhouse emissions by 30 percent from 1990 levels by 2020 or even 40 percent if others agree to steep cuts, will be in Copenhagen with world leaders for the last two days on Thursday and Friday.
