BEIJING, Aug. 6 (Xinhuanet) -- Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi has described as healthy and stable his country's relations with world powers, emerging powers as well as its neighbors and third world countries.
He made the remarks in a recent exclusive interview with Xinhua, in retrospect of China's foreign policy in the past 60 years since the founding of the New China.

This year also marks the 30th anniversary of Sino-U.S.diplomatic ties. Yang said relations between the two countries have reached unprecedented width and depth.
Soundbite (Mandarin): Yang Jiechi, Chinese Foreign Minister "During the London Summit, Chinese President Hu Jintao and U.S. President Barrack Obama held an important meeting. They decided to build a positive, cooperative and comprehensive relation between the two countries. It's a new positioning."
China is also active in cooperative exchanges with other emerging powers, like members of BRICs (also including Brazil, Russia and India), he said, adding China's relations with neighbors also have new features.

On China's relationship with other developing countries, Yang said solidarity, mutual support and cooperation form the base of China's diplomacy. Yang said multilateral diplomacy is the main platform for discussing and addressing key international issues. China will stick to the multilateral diplomacy and make more contribution to world peace and common development, he said.
