The Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council has advocated establishing a mutual trust mechanism across the Strait.
It also proposed starting communication on military affairs at an appropriate time. In answering Taiwan leader Ma Yin-jeou's latest remarks about "mutual non-denial," the Office restated that there's only one China, the country's sovereignty and right over its territory should never be violated, and both sides should seek common ground while minimizing differences.
The Office also hopes to increase the frequency of flights across the Strait, while decreasing the price of air travel. |
