Starting this school year, the Xi'an Jiaotong University is open to undergraduate candidates from Taiwan, making the top-notch university the first in northwest Shaanxi province to welcome high school graduates from across the Straits.
Eligible applicants have to be among the top 2010 high school graduates in Taiwan and would be admitted without paper examinations, the university told China Daily.
Some 20 will be admitted based on interviews and other evaluations. Those picked can choose among 48 different majors such as accounting, sociology, and electrical engineering and automation.
Those who are eligible to apply can download the application forms from the university website (http://www.xjtu.edu.cn/) and send the finished paperwork via fax to the recruiting department.
After paperwork is submitted, some will be chosen for a face-to-face interview on June 12 or 13. |
