BEIJING, May 26 (Xinhua) -- The second Straits Forum will be held in southeastern China's Fujian Province from June 18 to 25, announced Yang Yi, spokesman of the State Council's Taiwan Affairs Office, on Wednesday.

The unofficial forum, aiming to promote the normalization of the cross-Strait exchanges at the grassroots level, is expected to attract more than 10,000 guests.

The Chinese mainland and Taiwan held the first Straits Forum in Fujian last May.
