HAIKOU, China -- The national bridge invitational tournament of China may attract foreign players from the Asia-Pacific region, said the local organizers in the southern Hainan province on Monday.
Players fron Singapore and other countries and regions are expected to join their counterparts from the Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan in the National Bridge Invitational Tournament 2012 to be held from October 18 to 22 in Sanya, a popular resort city in China.
According to Hainan Provincial Sports Authority, the tournament may attract over 400 bridge players from both home and abroad.
The National Bridge Invitational Tournament, as one of the top bridge events in China, attracts nearly 400 players from more than 50 teams all over the country every year since it was inaugurated in 2009. |
