On February 3,Shaanxi Paper-cut Art Exhibition opened in Novi Sad, the capital of the Vojvodina region in Serbia and Montenegro. More than 100 VIPs, including president of Serbia and Montenegro China Friendship Association, president of Vojvodina Museum, officials from the city's government, cultural departments as well as reporters, attended the opening ceremony.
Vojvodina Museum is the second largest museum in Serbia and Montenegro, has a long history and boasts distinct features in its architecture. Held here, Shaanxi Paper-cut Art Exhibition drew much attention from the media and visitors.
The 222 pieces of paper-cut works fall into four categories, and their ingenious craftsmanship and varied styles enabled the visitors to have a taste of the unique oriental folk customs and unadorned but strong Chinese cultural atmosphere.
The exhibition will last for three months in this city, and then held in other cities. |
