How did the concept of "one country, two systems" developed?
   ¤éÂW:2001-04-17 14:44        Úñ¯ã: system        £¤¤èä

The Party developed the concept of "one country, two systems" on the basis of China's history and its contemporary conditions. The concept is also an important component of the theory of building socialism with Chinese characteristics. Currently, the focus of the nation's work has shifted to a modernization drive centred around economic construction. To practise socialism in the mainland and simultaneously allow capitalism to exist in Hong Kong and Taiwan is benefi-cial to the entire country's economic construction.
