BEIJING -- No injuries or deaths of Taiwan compatriots have been reported in a 7.0-magnitude quake that hit the mainland's Sichuan Province on Saturday, said Fan Liqing, a spokeswoman for the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council.

A Taiwan-funded enterprise stopped production after its workshop was damaged in the quake, Fan said at a regular press conference on Wednesday.

The 5th Straits Forum will be held from June 15 to 21 in southeast China's Fujian Province, with the main meeting place in Xiamen, she said.
