BEIJING, Nov. 11 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao will attend the opening ceremony of the 16th Asian Games on Friday in Guangzhou, capital of south China's Guangdong province.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei made the announcement at a regular press conference Thursday.
