BEIJING-- Following are the agendas for the fifth sessions of the 11th National People's Congress (NPC) and the 11th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) on Thursday.
NPC:
-- At 9 a.m., NPC deputies will hold the second plenary meeting to hear the explanations of draft amendment to the Criminal Procedural Law, draft decision on deputy election for the 12th NPC, and draft methods for the election of deputies to the 12th NPC from the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions.
Major documents of the meeting will be released to the press one hour before the meeting starts.
-- At 3 p.m., NPC deputies will hold panel discussions on the draft amendment to the Criminal Procedural Law.
-- At 4:45 p.m., officials from the Commission for Legislative Affairs of the NPC Standing Committee will give a press conference on the amendment to the Criminal Procedural Law at the press center of the two sessions.
-- At 7:30 p.m., four NPC deputies, who are workers and farmers from the grassroots, will be available for interview via Internet by netizens on carrying out their duties. CPPCC:
-- At 9 a.m., members of the 11th CPPCC National Committee will attend the second plenary meeting of the NPC session to hear the explanations of draft amendment to the Criminal Procedural Law, draft decision on deputy election for the 12th NPC, and draft methods for the election of deputies to the 12th NPC from the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions.
