JAKARTA - Indonesia's pavilion seized bronze award for category of creative display-A at the world's exhibition event World Expo Shanghai China or WESC 2010 that was officially closed on October 31, a press statement said here on Tuesday.
Other winners for the category were Saudi Arabia (gold) and Japan (silver).
Nine judges of the Committee of International Expo agreed that Indonesian pavilion had space and expo material that was relevant with the theme and the third most creative.
Indonesia's participation in the expo was recognized by many parties as achieving a very good result.
Visitor target of 5 million was achieved in August and until the expo closing, Indonesia's pavilion has reached 8,090,812 visitors or 11 percent of total 73.08 million.
The attraction was not only from good creation and innovation, unique and environmentally friendly pavilion, but also from art and culture shows that were non-stop performed everyday.
Indonesia used the expo to promote potentials of economy, culture and tourism.
Meanwhile, to intensify economic cooperation between Indonesia and China, various business and investment forums were held by ministries of trade, industry, finance, agriculture, public works, energy and mineral resources, culture and tourism as well as by the Investment Coordinating Board, Indonesia's Chamber of Trade and Industry, Indonesian Embassy in Beijing and by private sector.
