BEIJING, Nov. 10 (Xinhua) -- The Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee General Secretary Hu Jintao will meet with Kuomintang (KMT) Honorary Chairmen Lien Chan, on the sidelines of the 18th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in Japan.

Fan Liqing, spokeswoman with the State Council Taiwan Affairs Office, made the announcement at a regular press conference here on Wednesday.

The APEC summit is scheduled for Nov. 13-14 in Japan's second largest city of Yokohama.
